In a world populated by talking vehicles. Where Lightning McQueen finds himself stranded and under arrest in a small forgotten desert town called Radiator Springs.
Radiator Springs was once a bustling town off of Route 66, however since Interstate 40 was built Radiator Spring became almost a ghost town.
Whilst Lightning McQueen is in Radiator Springs he is befriended by some of the town’s population including Tow Mater. Mater as he is affectionately known by his friends is based on a 1955-57 Chevrolet Task Force tow truck. Along with Lightning McQueen, they find themselves in all sorts of scrapes and incidents throughout the movie, becoming the best of friends and almost inseparable by the conclusion of the film.
