With the arrival of the Beasts Castle to Magic Kingdom – Be Our Guest – or B.O.G as it may also be known – Restaurant – Magic Kingdom. Is quite possibly one of the most talked about restaurants at Magic Kingdom and quite possibly one of the most popular dining locations in the whole of Walt Disney World.
Be Our Guest is found in Disney World – in Fantasy Land. The restaurant is set inside the Beasts Castle.(From Beauty and the Beast – movie, which is an excellent movie)
It really is a must do if only for the experience of going into the Beasts Castle.
Be Our Guest is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. What makes Be Our Guest unique I hear you ask…. well unlike all other restaurants in WDW (Walt Disney World) even though breakfast and lunch are quick service you will need a reservation for all serving times at Be Our Guest. (reservations are not required at other Quick Service locations throughout Disney World.)
Now, as I said earlier that this is a very much talked about location dining reservations are in-demand. I would recommend that if this restaurant is on your bucket list then you really want to book your dining reservation at your 180 day mark and you may need to be flexible with your plans on what day of your vacation that you eat there.
The Setting of Be Our Guest.
Now as I said earlier BOG is set in Fantasy Land Magic Kingdom, this restaurant does seat a whopping 550 people, there are 3 dining rooms to choose from:-
The Grand Ballroom – This is the main dining you see as you enter the restaurant, it is very large and I would say the noisiest however it does have snow falling at the windows with is super cute!.
The West Wing – Now this room is off to the side of the Ballroom, I would say it’s on a smaller scale to the Ballroom, however, it is a lot darker and possibly scary to younger children. This room has a rose with fallen petals and it also has a portrait on the wall of the Beast which alternates every 20 minutes. I think this room would be awesome for teens.
The Castle Gallery – This room is off to the other side of the Ballroom. It has a 7ft tall music box of Beauty and the Beast. Now I have been told that this room doesn’t open all the time however, I have yet to see this.
Requesting a room – Now if you have a reservation for breakfast or lunch, you seat yourself and find an open table. If you are dining at dinner when you check in you can request your personal preference of dining room, Disney cast members will do their best to accommodate your request.
Breakfast.
Generally runs from 0800 -1030. As you will see from the menu it is a fixed price of $28 for adults and $15 for kids, like I said earlier reservations are required – you may be lucky at quieter times of the year to get a cancellation, but there is no guarantee and if you really want to go to Be Our Guest better to be safe and book ahead. Have a look at the current breakfast menu here. Included in your $28 for an adult are an entree, a drink, and pastries for your table. If you are on DDP (Disney Dining Plan) then breakfast and lunch is one QS (Quick Service) credit and I think this is amazing for one QS credit. Now, whilst I think this is an amazing value if you are on the dining plan – If I was paying out of pocket you would have to factor in the whole experience you would be receiving as well as the food, which is $28 for one person too much – well only you can answer that! Even though this is QS and you make your own orders the food is delivered to your table. There are Cast members available should you need any help or special dietary requests.
Lunch
Now, lunch like breakfast at Be Our Guest lunch is also QS (Quick Service) served between 1100 am – 1430 pm. However, lunch is a little different from breakfast. You get to order what you want off the menu – no fixed price and if just want a nice cup of tea or an open sandwich you can do so, this is why lunch is such a popular meal choice and there is often a lot of competition in getting a reservation.
Meal choices can be made at the terminal upon arrival or you can pre-order your food via the Disney World Website. – this option is no good for me as I would change my mind a million times.
Food, like breakfast, is delivered to your table and is also one QS credit. A menu for lunch can be found here.
Dinner.
Dinner at Be Our Guest is served from 1600 to park close – it is classed as a “signature” table service meal so for an adult dining in this restaurant it is $60 and $36 for children (aged between 3-9)
Or 2 credits if you are on the dining plan, now is this a worthwhile use of 2 credits… I have to say this would be down to personal experience. This is really all about the experience and you may (I only say may )get a glimpse of the Beast. Dinner Menu Found Here
Try the Grey Stuff…… It’s delicious. Give it a try!
