The question everyone is wondering …..

How many countries are in Epcot’s world showcase.??

If you ever fancy visiting more than one country in a day but, are unsure of how you can do it. Well, when you are in Epcot you can visit 11, and the best thing is you aren’t changing time zones, no jumping on and off planes you can stroll the Epcot world showcase in 30 mins (full lap) or you can stop off and try the different cuisines and cultures as you go, even do a bit of shopping – although not duty-free.

Epcot or (Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow was what it was originally called)when its doors opened on 1st October 1982.

Epcot is made up of future world and world showcase, world showcase is around the world showcase lagoon. There is nothing better than a stroll around the world, stopping off in any one of the 11 different countries or as Epcot likes to call them world showcase pavilions.

I love Epcot for so many different reasons, you can get your steps in as around the world is just over 1 mile, and when you visit the different countries or pavilions as Disney like to call them you get to meet cast members from the native country there is so much that you can do when you enter each pavilion, from character meets to rides to tasting delicious food whether you want a quick bite and stop at the quick-service restaurant so you get the full experience of the country, it really is so much more than just a theme park it’s a great place for adventure – Did I mention the fireworks are one if not my favorite!.

There are two ways to enter Epcot, one is from the main entrance where spaceship earth is located and the second is the international gateway which is between France’s pavilion and the United Kingdom’s pavilion. The International Gateway is the entrance to Epcot’s World Showcase from the Epcot Resort Area, connecting Epcot to several Disney resorts. It is a convenient way for visitors to enter the park and explore the World Showcase, without having to go through the main entrance. The International Gateway at Epcot provides access to several Disney resorts, including Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resorts. These resorts are all located within walking distance of Epcot, making them a convenient option for visitors looking to explore the World Showcase. And not forgetting one of Disney’s best kept secrets – The Boardwalk.

Now it doesn’t matter where your adventure in Epcot starts however the next big question is do you travel around the world clockwise or anticlockwise? There is no right or wrong way to enjoy your time traveling around the world. However, personally, I normally walk the world clockwise.

FunFact- if you walk around the world without stopping you can do it in approx 30mins.

So, come with me as I discover all the countries in Epcot.

I hope it will help you with your planning when you visit this amazing theme park.

As you enter Epcot through the main entrance traveling clockwise the first country that you come to is Mexico

Along the way you can also participate in Kidcot a fun activity that children and adults can enjoy while visiting Epcot’s World Showcase. Kidcot is a free activity that is designed to educate and entertain children about different cultures from around the world.
