Are there any height restrictions for this ride?
There is, of course as this is a rollercoaster, so you need to be 35 inches (89cm)tall to ride the Barn Storme junior coaster and I’m sure that you will agree that this is a relatively low height requirement, which makes it accessible to many young children who may not be able to ride some of the bigger roller coasters at Walt Disney World Resort.
How fast does The Barnstormer go?
The ride vehicle travels at a maximum speed of 21 mph and features small drops, perfect for first-time riders and those who may not be thrill-seekers.

The Barnstormer is considered a family-friendly ride, making it suitable for children and those looking for a more gentle roller coaster experience. I love it as it brings back memories of my first time in Disney World.
What kind of safety restraints or harnesses are used on The Barnstormer, and are there any health restrictions for riders?
I always say that you can gauge a ride by if you need over the shoulder harnesses you might need to rethink it – well The Barnstormer uses lap bars as safety restraints. However, as a Rider, you should be in good health, and those with certain medical conditions may be advised not to ride. It is best to check the safety information or with a cast member. However, just a warning I have seen people lose their hats!!
Keep in mind that the Barnstormer train features small bench size seats that fit two people and have limited leg space. So may not be so comfy for taller guests however, as the ride length is short for us adults it doesn’t last long enough to get uncomfortable and is just perfect for smaller children.
What is the best time of day to ride The Barnstormer to avoid long lines?
To minimize wait times, it’s often best to ride The Barnstormer earlier in the day, during off-peak hours, during extra magic hours.
One of the best things about Barn Stormer is that it usually has short wait times, so you generally won’t have to spend too long in line, unless the park is really busy then you may see longer than usual time.
Will I need to use the lightning lane for the Barnstormer?

Fun facts
The Barnstormer was originally situated in Mickey’s Toontown Fair, but that section of the park permanently closed over a decade ago as part of the new Fantasyland expansion.
During its time in Mickey’s Toontown Fair, it was known as “The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm,” an airplane school hosted by Goofy. When the new area of the park opened, the ride remained essentially the same but received a fresh circus theme. Prior to becoming Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm, the site was known as Grandma Duck’s Petting Farm. During its stint as a petting zoo, one of its notable residents was a cow named Minnie Moo, who gained fame for sporting a hidden Mickey on her side. Following the closure of the petting zoo, Minnie Moo found a new home at Fort Wilderness, where she lived out her days and eventually passed away from natural causes.
While the roller coaster may be a great ride for thrill seekers, it’s also designed to ensure the safety and enjoyment of small children.
