A Quick Guide To Disney’s Boardwalk
Here is a quick guide to this hidden gem – Disney’s Boardwalk.
Now the boardwalk you don’t normally find on your first visit to Disney – this hidden gem is found tucked behind Epcot.
Once you discover it there is no going back – the Boardwalk has an amazing atmosphere and is a fun place to get away from the hustle bustle of the parks. The Boardwalk is not what you think of when you think of Disney!
What is Disney’s Boardwalk.
Disney’s Boardwalk is a little calmer – an area away from the parks, where you can just sit eat ice cream or even a cupcake and people watch or cruise around the boardwalk on a Surrey Bike suitable for two or four people & watch the many street performers.
Disney Boardwalk Resorts.
Here you will find some amazing resorts to stay at:-
Yacht and Beach Club.
The Yacht Club I would say that this is the more “grown-up” resort of the two. The pool has sand at the bottom. Rocking chairs are dotted around the resort.
The Beach Club has an amazing Soda Shop – Beaches and Cream. The lobby has a familiar scent of cucumber and aloe.
Boardwalk Inn.
This is hidden behind ESPN & Boardwalk Bakery. In my opinion this hotel has a family feel.
Places to Eat at Disney’s Boardwalk.
Depending on what you want….. from an Ice Cream to a Cup Cake to Pizza to a sit down meal in a restaurant, you can find it all.
You get a takeaway pizza from the pizza window and sit outside under the stars eating your pizza – you can get an ice cream at Ample Hills Creamery and wonder around the boardwalk. You will also find Boardwalk Bakery here – however, this bakery isn’t my favorite. If you fancy a character meal at Trattoria Al Forno you can get a Bon Voyage Breakfast, featuring Princess Ariel, Prince Eric, Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder this is a really great breakfast. Fancy Sea Food then look no further than Flying Fish this is a 2 credit restaurant if on the Dining Plan.
How to get to Disney’s Boardwalk.
There are a couple of ways to get to the Boardwalk – one is to go via Epcot. Enter Epcot and head towards France or England it doesn’t matter which way you go but when you get the France or England you will find a pathway between these two countries called International gateway. This pathway will take you past the gift shop, past the exit gate and you will out of Epcot and you will have arrived at Disney’s Boardwalk.
If you are staying onsite at any Disney Resorts you will be able to get the Disney Bus Transportation that will bring you here.
You can ever watch Epcot’s fireworks from here if you want.
No park ticket is required for the Boardwalk – that is only needed for Epcot, Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom. Hollywood Studios or one of the water parks.
If you get a chance in your vacation it really is worth a visit.
